At the annual inventors symposium, Professor hopes that his invention will beat Dr Wernstrom’s. His invention, the Smeeoscope, allows one to smell objects at a distance. He is laughed at, but Fry discovers the smelliest object in the universe with it. It is a giant garbage ball shot into outer space 50 years ago, and it is up to Planet Express to find out how to stop the garbage ball from blasting into earth and destroying everything.
